Initial Brainstorming

I want to create a product that is placed on clothing and it reveals whether they smell or not. Dirty clothes smell because of bacteria. When fibers are tightly knit together they create very small holes in which bacteria likes to 'grow'. Work-out clothes made of new technical light-weight materials tend to smell bad faster than cotton clothes that have bigger holes in between the fibers. This product could either be part of the garment and be removed when the clothes need to be washed or it could simply be a mobile product placed near the garment the user wishes to test. The mobile gadget could also have an LED output informing you right away weather your garment smells bad or it is still fine.

This product could be especially useful to men who dislike washing their clothes and/or want to save money by using the washer/dryer as little as possible. The smelling device would inform the user when they should wash their clothes.

Why am I targeting men?

-Men's olfacotry sense is less sensitive than womens

-Due to hormones men tend to have stronger body odors

-Smelling good is one of the most important factors when being near someone else
